Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) handed over a wheelchair to a 110-year-old man from a remote border village in Wangti region of Mon district on January 19. According to updates from HQ IGAR (N), a medical camp was organised to provide medical support and assistance to the villagers, especially the old, differently-abled, orphans and women who are unable to go to the hospitals at far distances. A total of 56 villagers benefitted from the camp where free medicines were provided along with information about the importance of timely vaccination, personal hygiene and sanitation.
