Dimapur, January 5 (MExN): Security forces in a joint operation with police representative apprehended a NSCN (KN) cadre near Old Showuba, Dimapur on January 4. According to a press release from the HQ IGAR (N), based on specific input, security forces along with police representatives launched an operation and apprehended one cadre of NSCN (KN) and recovered one .32 mm pistol with magazine and seven live rounds.
The apprehended NSCN (KN) cadre along with the recoveries has been handed over to Diphupar Police station for further investigation. In another incident, “an armed cadre” was apprehended near Purana Bazar, Dimapur on January 3. The HQ IGAR (N) in a press note stated that based on specific input, security forces along with police representatives launched an operation and apprehended one armed cadre and recovered one .22 mm Pistol with magazine. The apprehended person along with the recoveries has been handed over to Dimapur East Police station, for further investigation, it added.
