Youth choir presents special praise during Chakhesang churches combined Christmas celebration in Kohima on December 25.
Kohima, December 27 (MExN): A combined Christmas celebration 2023 of Chakhesang churches in Kohima took place on December 25 under the theme, “The word became flesh” (John 1: 14) at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima.
Around 13,000 members from Chakhesang churches in Kohima irrespective of denomination affiliations turned up at the celebration.
Talking on the theme, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) General Secretary Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho emphasised the importance of grace in the biblical terms and termed grace as the cross of Jesus Christ.
He said that with the coming of Jesus Christ, humanity was accorded full grace, where hopeless becomes hope, homeless were sheltered, salvation provided to all believers, darkness to light became the order of the day for all believers. Keyho said that Christmas is a time for reconciliation and forgiveness.
Chekhungo Puro, Pastor, CBCK led the worship service. All church youth choirs presented special praise. Rev Dr Vevo Phesao shared greetings while Rev K Luruo prayed for mass celebratory feast.
The celebration was organised under aegis of Kohima Chakhesang Pastor Fellowship, which usually held after every 5 years.
