New campus of Coraggio School, Kohima inaugurated

Nagaland’s Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Minister Temjen Imna Along today inaugurated the new campus of Coraggio School Kohima. With the motto ‘Aspire, Act and Achieve,’ this school runs upto Class 10.

Located in Lerie Colony, Coraggio School was established in 2004 by Vilelie Khamo in memory of her mother late Lechale Khamo.

Addressing the gathering, Along maintained that one need to aspire, act upon and achieve the same. He said that if a person does not aspire, to achieve and act upon it in daily life, “then I don’t think we can achieve the goals and the dreams of a nation, of a state, of your community, of your people, of your parents and of yourself.” It is for us to dream, to aspire and act upon it, he said.

He also encouraged the students to pursue their dreams “relentlessly and consistently” and achieve the same.  “Your parents may be farmer, living in a thatch houses in the village. Be proud of them for they work hard and aspire to see their dreams and achieve through you,” the minister told the students.

Earlier, Coraggio school chief patron Vilelie Khamo unfurled the school flag and shared the vision of the school. Khamo said that the word ‘Coraggio’ have been coined to reflect courageousness in the hunt for excellence in the various fields.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Dr Hovithal Sothu, chairman Board of Directors while a brief account of the school was given by Neikesenuo Bei-o.

The purpose of launching ‘Gethemgo Sports Academy’ in this school was highlighted by Dr. Viposa Kiso, director Gethemgo Sports International.

The function concluded with vote of thanks pronounced by Coraggio school headmistress Annie Konthoujam. Nagaland’s Sports And Youth Resource Advisor Er Zale Neikha and several other dignitaries also present on the occasion.
