7296 gazetted govt officers in Nagaland

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today stated there are 7296 gazetted government officers in the state as per the information collected from all the departments under the government. Replying this to Congress MLA H. Chuba on the floor of the House, the Chief Minister who is also minister incharge of P&AR stated that the total number of state government gazetted officers belonging to the districts of Mon, Longleng, Tuensang and Kiphire stands at 642.

57 arrested for rape cases in Nagaland during 2008-2011

Minister for home Imkong L. Imchen today stated that a total of 57 arrests made with regards to the rape cases under IPC during the year 2008 to June 2011 in Nagaland. Year wise break up is as follows; 2008- 14, 2009-17, 2010-16 and 2011- 10. Replying this to MLA T. Sentichuba on the floor of the House, the minister said that a total of 78 accused were charge sheeted during the said period. Further, the minister lay on the table the list of individuals sentenced as per law.

Payment yet to be done under YOE 2010

Parliamentary secretary for industries & commerce Dr. K.C. Nihoshe today stated that 1000 unemployed youth have been selected for the “Year of Entrepreneur 2010.” Replying this to MLA Lanpha Konyak on the floor of the House, the parliamentary secretary also furnished the district-wise detail of the beneficiaries.  The minister said that 141 youth have been selected under agri and allied services and 55 under tourism. Dr. Nihoshe also replied that payment is yet to be made as preparation and submission of DPR by the selected youth are not completed as Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for 84 beneficiaries are in progress.
