Dimapur, Dec 19 (DIPR): The Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kiyanilie Peseyie inaugurated the Nagaland Legislative Assembly staff Rest House today at Darogapathar, Dimapur.
The speaker lamented on the thin attendances and called upon the staff for self introspection and for more participation in various functions and activities organised by the Department with sense of duty. He further appealed to the officers and staffs for proper maintenances of the staff rest house and to use it judiciously with responsibility and belongingness. Touching on the Christmas theme the Speaker called upon the staff to be true believers.
The President, NASSA in his speech expressed gratitude to the present speaker for his sincerty towards the welfare of the staff and for personally taking up the matter to approach the Government for sanction to complete the rest house. The President further acknowledged the contribution of former Speakers, Secretaries, NASSA officials for their initiatives towards the acquisition of the rest house.
Other highlights of the programme were the prayer and bible reading by Joint Secretary, Akhui, special number by Deputy Secretary, Robert Khuvung and vote of thanks by Addl. Secretary, A.E Lotha. The programme was chaired by Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, N. Benjamin Newmei.
The two storied building was purchased and renovated at a cost of Rs. 45 Lakhs which has a capacity of 14 rooms.
