Zunheboto, January 31 (MExN): ATMA Zunheboto Akuluto block conducted two demonstrations at Orange Farm School, Alaphumi village under the topics ‘demonstration on cultivation practices of French bean’ and ‘demonstration on cultivation practices of coriander’ on January 27.
ATMA Zunheboto Akuluto Block in a press release stated that BTM Tsuktilemla stressed on the importance of both crops which plays and active role in any kitchen garden.
French bean is one of the most important leguminous vegetable crops of North Eastern region. It is cultivated for the tender vegetable, shelled green beans and dry beans. It is very rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. French bean being a short duration crop, farmers get more profit in a short period.

The programme was chaired by ATM Kaiho Achumi and a total of 11 farmers attended the demonstrations. It was followed up by interactive session with farmers and seeds distribution.
