Longleng, August 30 (MExN): The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Longleng block conducted a demonstration programme on management and packaging practices for cabbages at Nian village on August 28.
The resource person, A Namei from Krishi Vigyan Kendra Longleng, demonstrated on raised nursery bed preparation for growing cabbages. He also advised the farmers on the transplanting period, space management and weed management practices for healthy plant growth.
According to a press release from the T Mhao Humtsoe, Project Director, ATMA Longleng, there was a brief interaction period after the programme where the farmers were given ample time to ask any queries related to winter vegetable farming. Overall it was a successful programme where 15 farmers participated, the release stated.
