Tuensang, February 7 (MExN): ATMA Tuensang Panso block conducted various demonstrations with Anungba and Thingpio (ATM) as resource person from February 1 to 5.
Demonstration include nursery management on cultivation of chili, field management and manuring of tomato plant, propagation on pineapple, removal of withered styles and perianth of banana plant, preparation of Bordeaux mixture and seed treatment using bio fertilizer. Introduction on the importance of bio fertilizer was given.
They stated that the seed treatment is very much required to prevent the plant from disease and is very essential for proper growth and development.
The proper way of seed treatment using azotobacter and azospirillum was demonstrated. They even suggested the farmer to take up the use of bio fertilizer than chemical treatment as they have various ill effects on human health.
