Nakachari, July 31 (MExN): The Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM), established in 2005, has officially been upgraded to the Assam Valley Baptist Association (AVBA) on its 19th Foundation Day. The announcement was made during a ceremonial event held at the AVBM headquarters in Nakachari.
During the event, the AVBA President formally declared the transition of AVBM into a fully-fledged Baptist Churches Association. The theme message, "With God, everything is possible," was delivered by Rachel Jamir, Associate Pastor of Women Ministry at Kumlong Baptist Church.
The ceremony also featured exhortations and speeches by Kikum Longkumer, Pastor of Kumlong Baptist Church, and Chubatoshi, a deacon from the same church. Aamong Phukan, Youth Counselor of AVBA, chaired the program, and Huni Gogoi, Evangelist of AVBA, welcomed the congregation.
A total of 207 delegates representing 32 churches attended the event.
