Mokokchung, March 26 (MExN): An awareness programme for grass-root level workers on disability issues organised by Care and Support Society and Supported by RCI-North East Zonal Coordination Committee (NEZCC) was held at Sangtemla Multipurpose Hall on March 26. 

According to a DIPR report, the programme was chaired by Takotila. Welcome note was delivered by Arenli Jamir, Project Co-ordinator, DDPO Mokokchung. Short speeches were given by ADC, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS, Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, Vishal IPS, DEO, Mokokchung, Limasangba Aier, and Rev C Wati Longchar, Property and Finance Secretary, ABAM where grassroot level workers were encouraged to give special attention to the differently abled for self-empowerment. 

The first session concluded with vote of thanks from Sapo Aier, Assistant Director, C&SS. During the programme, Dr Imli Lemtur, MD (Paediatrician) IMD Hand Arenli Jamir, Project Co-ordinator, DDPO Mokokchung spoke on the topic early identification and intervention schemes and benefits and RPD Act 2016 respectively.
