The Angami Women Organization (AWO) and Angami Students Union (ASU) jointly organized a felicitation programme for HSLC and HSSLC toppers from Angami community on June 18. In a programme held at the conference hall of AWO building, seven HSSLC and six HSLC toppers were honoured with certificate and token cash.
AGOK to constitute Angami Education Trust
Speaking on the occasion as speaker, Dr Neilasa Sopfü, Inspector General of Fire & Emergency Services, Nagaland announced that the Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (AGOK) is all set to constitute Angami Education Trust to facilitate the students to excel in the field of education.
Dr Sopfü, who is also president of AGOK, informed that this Trust will support the students especially from lower family background in the form of sponsorship for coaching classes.
Sharing greetings, AWO General Secretary, Chozhiile Kikhi congratulated all the achievers and asked them to be sincere and dedicated in their academic pursuit and stay focused to achieve greater heights.
Rev Dr Rachiilie Vihienuo, pastor Union Baptist Church, Kohima invoked God’s blessing for the toppers.
ASU President, Bisevi Nakhro delivered welcome address. The programme was chaired by ASU education secretary Thepfuriiya Theiinuo.
The programme also witnessed scripture reading & invocation by AWO president Neilhouzono Nagi and special song by Thejasenuo Kire & Nourhengunuo Zatsu.
