Kohima, August 2 (MExN): The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) President, Neinguvotuo Krose and General Secretary, Kekhrie Pfukha in a press release stated that with the view to help the people in times of natural calamity, the AYO in collaboration with Nagaland State Disaster management Authority (NSDMA), Department of Home guards & Civil Defence and Department of Forest, Environment and Climate change trained around 100 members of Angami youths from four ranges i.e. Chakhro Youth Organisation, Northern Angami Youth Organisation, Southern Angami Youth Organisation and Western Angami of Angami Youth Organisation (CYO, NAYO, SAYO and WAYO) called First Community Responder or Khriekesa Pelikro in the year 2017.
Therefore, in order to respond to crisis faced by the people at this stage, the AYO has directed respective Community Responder Team of four ranges to coordinate with the government several mechanisms that have been put in place and extend all possible help to the people who are facing difficulties at this current crisis.
The AYO has also extended gratitude to the First Community Responder who has been continuously assisting the people who are in difficulties at their respective areas. The AYO also acknowledged the team for retrieved the drowned body at Dzucharü River at Phesama village on July 30.
