Bank employees on strike; to continue today

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 10 (MExN): Bank Employees in Nagaland joined in protest against the Indian Banks Association’s delay to implement immediate wage revision. A press note from A Lolly Moses, Convener of the United Forum of Bank Employees, Nagaland informed that the first day of the strike was “100 percent successful” and acknowledged the support extended by private banks. UFBU further expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to its customers and requested the public to bear with the bank employees in their efforts to bring about an early settlement of the issue. The protest is scheduled to last till February 11.
