Biblical Poetry book ‘Thabor Verumoru Malayalla’ released

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN):  A Malayalarn Biblical poetry book titled ‘Thabor Verumoru Malayalla,’ was released by Metropolitan His Grace Dr Joseph Mar Dionysius St Thomas Ashram, Bhilai on the feast day of late glorified Bishop Dr Stephanos Mar Theodosius 14th Remembrance Day. 

The book was published by Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur. This Biblical poetry books Nagaland releasing ceremony was done on November 14 at Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church, Midland by Kerala Samajam president VA Jose and KM Geevarghese, former Kerala Samajam  President, Kohima. 

A press release by the organizers stated that, ‘Thabor Verumoru Malayalla (Mount Thabor is not mere a mountain)’ authored by Rev Fr Dr Palayathil Shibu Varghese who is presently serving as Vicar of MGOS Church, Dimapur and Principal of MGM College, Dimapur is a profound writer and educationalist. A collection of thirty Biblical poems, this is the author’s fourth book and third poetry book. It tells the Old Testament and New Testament events in a poetical way, with contemporary views, the release stated. 

The poems are filled with poetical form of Biblical incidents in a profound way with authors philosophical thoughts, his dreams and visions delightfully articulated in beautiful lines, with apt illustrations by artist Abid Hussain, Dimapur, it said. 

The author dedicated the poetry book to late glorified His Grace Dr Stephanos Mar Theodosius (1924-2007), who was the former Bishop of Calcutta Diocese of the Indian Orthodox Church and who has ordained author to deaconate and priesthood. 

Earlier, the launch programme was chaired by Er Renji Thomas, MGOS Church managing committee member in the book was released in the presence of Malayalees of Dimapur at the church on the 119th feast day of St Gregorios of Parumala. The book is available in all leading book stalls of Dimapur and Kohima.
