The cabin financed by BJP President Imolemba Jamir under construction. It was constructed in one day.
Mokokchung, December 10 (MExN): In a noble gesture, the BJP Mokokchung President, Imolemba Jamir constructed a cabin ‘sick room’ or ‘medical room’ at the Care and Support Children Home at Tsumarshiyong – some 15 kilometers away from Mokokchung town – which was constructed on December 10.
BJP Mokokchung district Media Cell in a press release stated that the cabin was solely funded from the pockets of Imolemba Jamir and the works was initiated by the BJP Mokokchung district. The cabin was constructed in a record one day which was personally supervised by the BJP Mokokchung district.
Managing Director of Care and Support Society, Imchawati Kichu, while appreciation Imolemba Jamir and the BJP Mokokchung district for constructing the cabin, said that this was the first time that an individual or an organisation was constructing a house for the orphanage.
He said that the Home was in dire need of a special cabin called ‘sick room’ where the children if and when they call sick. He further added that this cabin was much necessitated because of the present pandemic and the noble gesture of Imolemba Jamir would go a long way in mitigating the needs of the orphanage especially in times of sickness.
It must be noted here that the Care and Support Children Home was established in the year 2013 and it started functioning from the year 2016. At present the orphanage has 14 children under its care.
