Wokha, August 3 (MExN): Minister for Higher Education and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, who is also the BJP Nagaland president, held a meeting on July 30 at BJP Wokha district office.
He exhorted all the party rank and file to make all efforts to strengthen the party from the top to the grassroots level, informed a press release from Meribemo Kinghen, president and Cyrus James Tungoe, district secretary media in charge of BJP Wokha.
“…your sincerity, hard work, your dedication and your integrity towards the party will define you and that will slowly elevate you to the top post someday,” the Minister stated.
The party president further assured to provide monthly allowance for office maintenance, adding that after few days assessment will be carried out on what can be done to improve every district office. He further stated that in the current year, the government is trying every possibility to conduct municipal election smoothly in every district.
The gathering was also encouraged to inculcate the habit of going to church and pray more. “As a Christian BJP, it is the responsibility of every one of us here to project the image of the BJP as normal as many political party we have in a Christian state like us,” he urged, according to the release.
Anand Narayan Mishra, BJP Organising Secretary and Senkathung Jami, Kisan Cell president also delivered short speeches.
