BJP State Minority Morcha organises executive meeting

Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): The Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland organised its 2nd State Executive Meeting on November 28 under the leadership of President Deep Kumar.

State Secretary-cum-Minority Morcha In-charge Zaveyi Kezo and Dimapur District President Tokuho Suhoi Neho were the special invitees to the meeting which was held at Rotary Club, Dimapur. 

In his presidential address, Deep Kumar apprised the members about his visit to Delhi for the BJP Minority Morcha National Executive Meeting recently, besides recommending the State Media Convenors' visit to Delhi to attend BJP's National Media Convenors meet in December.

General Secretary Roshan Kumar Tamang apprised the gathering about the 80 activities of the morcha for the last six months, after the invocation by chairperson of the programme and General Secretary Mustafa Ahmed Talukdar. Kohima District's 16 activities report was presented by its General Secretary Sahid Hussain, followed by Dimapur District's 55 activities report by its President Prakash Chhetri. Mon District report was presented by its President Johny Rai. Morcha members have been actively assisting the public in general during COVID-19 in particular, besides observing various days and festivals, a press release stated.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP's Dimapur District President Suhoi expressed gratitude to the state BJP for his recent appointment and assured the Morcha of his availability for all its activities. Special Invitee Kezo appreciated the members of the morcha for their exemplary activities and assured his full support as a bridge between the State BJP and the Morcha. Kezo exhorted the members to enroll all the minorities in the electoral roll and assist BJP Dimapur District President every which way to ensure majority votes in the party's kitty. 

Ajay Sethi, State Vice-President of the Morcha read out three resolutions in appreciation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his timely repeal of the recent three farm laws in the interest of the country, besides extending his personal invitation to the leader of the catholic Church Pope Francis to visit India at the earliest. So also, a resolution was adopted by the house regarding recommendation of one of the morcha members by state BJP President to be considered as National Executive of BJP Minority Morcha. State Vice-President Ravindarjit S Panesar and State Executive Member Naresh Sethi seconded the resolution followed by whole house, the release stated.

Vote of thanks was offered by Convenor Brij Kishore Rai, which was followed by National Anthem led by State Secretary Anita Roychowdhury, it added.
