Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): The Bible Society of India (BSI), Dimapur Auxiliary, inaugurated its Hamren Branch on November 26 at Puta Karbi Baptist Association Mission Centre, Kabri Along.
Initiated by the BSI Diphu Branch and the United Christian Forum, 19 leaders from different denominations attended the consultation and inauguration of the Branch, a press release received here stated.
Highlighting the purpose of the consultation, Rev. Primingson, Secretary of the Diphu Branch, explained the ministry of the BSI and the role of its Branches.
Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, encouraged participants to engage in the ministry of the BSI, noting that it is a missional society translating, producing, and distributing the Word of God at affordable prices and free of cost for those with financial difficulties.
Rev Dr Solomon Rongpi, President of the Diphu Branch, moderated the discussion.
According to the release, there are 35 Churches in the Hamren division, which have been contributing significantly to the ministry of BSI through the Diphu Branch. With the inauguration, the churches will now work independently for the ministry.
The newly elected office bearers of the Hamren Branch are: President, Pastor Hamron Rongpi, NKJPA; Vice President, Sar-im Pator; Secretary, Rev. Abu Kro, Executive Secretary, PKBA; Assistant Secretary, Silabor Rongpi; and Treasurer, Martin Teron, Church of God.
