DIMAPUR, AUGUST 6 (MExN): All the Government Departments, PSUs, Banks, Industries Associations, Industries in the state, Media, NGOs, SHGs in particular & the public in general and all others concerned are informed that Branch Small Industries Service Institute, Dimapur has been renamed as Branch Micro. Small and Medium Enterprises-Development Institute (Br.MSME-DD), Industrial Estate, Dimapur-797 112, Nagaland with effect from June 27. Vide Cabinet Secretariat Notification No.1/22/4/2007-Cab, dated-10th May, 2007 the name of the Ministry of Small Scale Industries has been changed to Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
‘The Ministry of MSME is the nodal Ministry for formulation of policies and Central Sector Programmes / Schemes, their implementation and related coordination, to supplement the efforts of the States for promotion and development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in India’, Deputy Director In-Charge S Rajeev said in a release. He further added that in keeping with the new name and responsibilities of the Ministry of MSME, the Government of India has changed the name of the Office of Development Commissioner (Small Scale Industries) as Office of the Development Commissioner (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises).
The office of DC(MSME),7m Floor-Nirman Bhavan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi-110 011 would act as the Apex Body for assisting the Government in formulating and overseeing the implementation of its policies and programmes / projects / schemes in respect of Micro , Small & Medium Enterprises.
