Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The C-Edge College, Dimapur held the Raising Day of the college’s National Cadet Corps (NCC) on November 17.
Yanger Longkumer, former Vice-Principal of Kohima Science College and CEC IQAC External Member, led the invocation and inaugurated the new NCC Unit, a press release from the college informed.
This facility is established in the college with the aim to provide a platform for the studentsto groom into disciplined, responsible and patriotic citizens, it said.
The NCC CEC is formed with the total of 36 Cadets comprising of 20 male and 16 female students with Ikaito V. Zhimomi as the CTO, it added.
The college also expressed appreciation to the 25Nagaland Battalion NCC, Mokokchung for allotment of NCC Unit CEC.
Meanwhile, Wapanginla Ao, Academic Dean & IQAC Coordinator of the college in her exhortation maintained that the formation of NCC CEC is another important milestone in the history of the college and congratulated the first batch.
She also encouraged the Cadets by stressing that the people and the nation look forward to the NCC to inculcate the values of fraternity, discipline, national unity and selfless service.
For the first time, the NCC CEC showcased its March Past, the release added.
The programme was attended, among others, by the college Principal Dr Chubatola Aier, Tangit (Canaan Hands member), Faculty, Staff and the students.
