Livingstone Foundation International observes annual day
Dimapur, December 9 (MExN): The annual day function of Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) was organised at its Green Lawn on December 8. The occasion was attended by parents, guardians, well-wishers and special invitees along with management, mentors, staff members and students, stated a press release from the Information Desk, LFI.
LFI Chairman, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema in his message underscored the importance of skill development in the students apart from academics. He called upon the parents and guardians to shift their focus from the traditional education emphasising on rote memory to a more vibrant, diverse skill based education system, holistic and conceptualised education system whereby students can shine not only in their studies but also can develop their career in other areas like sports, music, fine arts, crafts, etc.
Dr Andrew remarked that right from the inception, LFI has always strived for a conceptual teaching and learning system wherein the varied intelligences of the students are identified and nurtured from their childhood so that they are able to become thought leaders in the right perspective instead of just following the crowd.
Keeping this very factor in mind, LFI introduced the Cambridge International Curriculum for the formative level to blend and enhance through this international curriculum thereby making it easier for students to excel more in all round activities.
He put on record that LFI was the only school in India that was ranked as the No.1 school for Co-curricular activities considering its potentials as a school which has been conducting the widest and the most varied range of activities for the students in order to cater to the needs of each individual students with unique understanding, knowledge and skills set. This is done in order to recognise and facilitate every child with his or her unique talents and skills.
Dr Andrew also felicitated the team from LFI who won the Most Original Vehicle award in the recently concluded World War-II Peace Rally as part of the ongoing Hornbill Festival.
Welcoming the gathering, LFI Director, Ani Yepthomi exuded hope that the bond among the school management, mentors, students and parents would grow stronger in the future. LFI stood for resilience and transformation so that the students can cope with the ever changing world filled with competitions at all levels, she added.
