Campaign for NPF in Peren district

PEREN, APRIL 6 (MExN): Convenor of DAN election coordination committee for Peren district, Namri Nchang, MLA, undertook an intensive election campaign in his home district Peren to garner support for DAN consensus candidate and chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.

From March 31 to April 5, Namri, who is also chairman, Nagaland Handloom & Handicraft Corporation, accompanied by president NPF Peren division, Dennis Zeliang and party workers, addressed election rallies and NPF party meetings at Athibung, Nkialwa, Tening, Nsong, Peren town, Ngalwa and Jalukie town.

According to a press release issued by Publicity & Information, NPF-Peren Division, the election rallies have driven the hearts of the people to support the candidature of Rio in the state’s lone Lok Sabha seat.

“The rally has covered 8 Ranges/areas in Peren District where the surrounding people could centrally assemble. The public responses during the rally were overwhelming and ready to support the indisputable leadership of Neiphiu Rio,” the release stated. “Reasons for such an unflagging ready support was his undeniable action shown in the development of Peren District from the creation of the District to the present reality of development seen in different infrastructural set ups.”

The release also stated that since the creation of Nagaland statehood 50 years ago till date, “there has not been witnessed or experienced such a dramatic development and changes actualized during the span of ten years time of DAN Government.”

Other political parties’ leaders and publics also participated in the Rally. The release also mentioned that certain villages expressed their absolute will to cast votes for Neiphiu Rio, the DAN consensus candidate.

The NPF Peren has appealed to the general public to support the candidature of Neiphiu Rio as the leader of the Nagas to represent in the parliament of India and to exercise the rights and interest of the state in particular and the north easterners in general.
