Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): A 12-day training on candle making and handicraft was held from September 23 to October 6 for school dropouts, returnees and housewives.
The training was organized by Longchen Developmental Welfare Society, Aoyimti Village, supported by NABARD Dimapur.
According to the organizers, the training was imparted to 30 trainees, divided into 6 batches while adhering to the COVID-19 safety protocols.
NABARD officials were represented by S Hrangkhol, AGM, Donald Sangma, AM (DDM) and Rahul Tiwari, DA. Speaking on the occasion Hrangkhol, AGM, exhorted the trainees on the importance of learning new skills, dignity of labour and self reliance.
He congratulated Longchen Developmental Welfare Society for conducting the training and encouraged such endeavors in the future as well.
