Sixteen teams from across the state will compete in the 7th edition of the Capt N Kengurüse, MVC Memorial Football Tournament 2023, commencing on November 1 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. The tournament, organized by HQ 5 Sector, Assam Rifles, under HQ IGAR (N), will run until November 9. The inaugural event is scheduled for 3:15 PM on November 1, with Major Gen Vikas Lakhera, SM, IG, IGAR (N), as the chief guest. K Neibou Sekhose, President of the Nagaland Football Association (NFA), will also address the inaugural ceremony. The opening match will feature Tiema Khe Kidima against Lozu FC (Zunheboto). The participating teams are as follows: Tiema Khe Kidima FC (Kohima), Lozu FC (Zunheboto), Liangmai FC (Peren), 164 INF BN (Headhunters), Tehok FC (Mon), Chang Sports Association (Tuensang), A Yhome (Kohima), Holy Angels Sports Team (Noklak), Viswemi FC (Kohima), Western Sumi Sports Association (Niuland), Medziphema Royal FC (Chümoukedima), New Agers FC (Kiphire), Peace United FC (Phek), St Xavier's College (Jalukie), Vanguard FC (Tseminyu), and Beckon FC (Phek).
