Caution against damage of road in Tening town

Tening, January 21 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tening, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS today issued a notice against damaging roads in Tening town and obstructing the drains, while constructing connecting road to respective residences. 

“Obstruction of the drainage system is a major cause for road damage, landslide and other related destructions, especially during the monsoons,” the ADC Tening stated in a notification received through the DIPR.

“The drainage system should not be an obstruction at any cost in order to ensure that rainwater and other waste waters are allowed to flow out freely, the order stated, while directing all to comply in the general interest of public hygiene and safety and in order to prevent the damage of existing roads and other public or private property within Tening town area,” he stated. 

While stating that no individual or group should carry out any developmental activities within Tening town that leads to damage of the road and obstruction of the drainage system, the ADC added, “Stern punitive action will be initiated against any individual or group acting in contravention to the order.”
