CCPO pass resolution on all weather road Pfutsero-Phek

Kohima, June 22 (MExN): Basing on the approval of all weather road Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba- Khomi under Special Accelerate Road Development Programme (SARDP-NE), the Centre Chakhesang Public Organization (CCPO) has passed various resolutions for the successful implementation of the project.

The resolution, which was arrived at its meeting on June 11 last at Sakraba stated that no land owners through whose land the road passes by, will obstruct the road development of any kind. The CCPO will have no objection to any capable contractor/company to be given the contract work by the department. The CCPO shall extend its fullest cooperation to the supervisory authority and executing agencies and to ensure safety of the contractor and the department officers from undue interferences till the work is completed. The CCPO shall be the nodal agency of the public to ensure quality and durable workmanship of construction as per specification/terms and conditions of the contract. The CCPO will interfere if required in test checking the completion of any work within its jurisdiction.

“No sub-let of work will be claimed by any individual or group of individuals on the basis of land ownership,” the resolution said adding that for the success of its completion whatever raw materials are available within CCPOs’ jurisdiction will be provided subjected to the condition that the raw materials are of good quality and certified by the concerned executive engineer PWD (R&B) Pfutsero for which the permission of the proprietors/owner may be sought when necessity arises. The Organization will protect the interest of its citizens in respect of their aspiration for work within its jurisdiction over others/outsiders.

Thanking chief minister Neiphiu Rio for fulfilling long felt desire of the area by meeting road developmental project, the CCPO recognized him as “a man of word.” It also thanked Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Surface Transport and Highways for placing Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba, Khomi road from Phase ‘B” of SARDP- NE to Phase ‘A’ and now for which Global Tender is called for the project.

In the meantime, CCPO president Vepasayi Resuh and press secretary Shepo Hesuh in a press release informed that the Organisation resolved to ensure accurate enumeration of Census 2011 as per directive/guidelines of authority and extended it full cooperation to the concerned officers.
