Kohima, December 29 (MExN): MLA & NPF Leader of the Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today lamented that the Central Government is not serious about bringing the decade’s old Naga political issue to a logical conclusion and accused “it had failed to table the Naga issue in the recently concluded winter Parliament session.”

Speaking as the inaugural guest of the golden jubilee celebration of Thürütsüswümi Students’ Union (TSU), the NPF leader recalled that the Naga people were having high hopes the arrival of solution, however, the Central Government has denied the hopes of the people, stated a press release issued by the NPF Press Bureau.

Azo also maintained and asserted that the party will always be committed and strive for the early solution to the Naga political issue that is honourable, inclusive and acceptable.

He pointed out that since solution before election is a distant dream for the moment, the 14th General election to the Nagaland state is imminent and hence, “the Nagas should be mentally prepared as the election commission may anytime announce the election to the state.”

Maintaining that ‘election is a mechanism to either shape or design our future and destiny or destroy our future,’ he called upon the people to choose and vote for the right party and the right leader to represent the Naga people.
