Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): Chakhroma women are demanding “capital punishment” for the person accused of raping and murdering a girl in Kirha village on July 20. Chakhroma Women Organization has warned “any lawyer, group or organization” against bailing out the accused. A note from the organization today held the accused, one Beto Zhimomi of Chekiye village of “rape, robbed and murder” of the girl, one Avino. The organization has demanded conviction of the accused “under IPC sections” and the “capital punishment” penalty. The women organization then sought “restriction of any bail plea by any lawyer, group or organization.” Appealing to the ‘governor, CM’ to “take up the case, the women’s organization said all right-thinking citizens must condemn the crime.
