Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): The ONGC’s oil-explorations partner, Canaro Resources Ltd. has been banned by the Champang Village Council for ‘damaging the natural conditions’ without approval of the council.
“The action of Canoro is an offense punishable as per the Naga customary law” stated a note from seven executives of the council, including its chairman H Longshithung Kithan. The council has banned the company from entering the territorial boundaries of the village of Champang. Any one facilitating Canoro Resources or gives them shelter” will be severely dealt with according to law of the land.
