DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): The Assisi Centre for Integrated Development organised a programme on child rights and protection to all the children of the group in Assisi campus on December 14.
Sr Pramila, he Director of the Assisi centre spoke on motivational and leadership skills to the leaders through play way method.She also highlighted on the importance of child rights and protection policy. Nature has provided some inherent rights to every human being including children. These fundamental rights bestowed in human being from the very conception, she stated.
She added that every child has the right to be protected from neglect, exploitation and abuse both at home and outside; and that every child has a right to participate in any decision making that involves their part. Sr Pramila said that Children are the potential embodiment of ideals, aspirations, ambitions and also future hopes. They are the future shoulders in the form of great leaders, planners on which the country would rest, she asserted.
During the programme, Sr Geeta highlighted the activities conducted during the year; and the success and challenges to keep the group together. The programme was attended by 154 children and parents.
