Phek, November 15 (MExN): The District Administration and DLCW- Mahila Shakti Kendra (BBBP), Phek celebrated Children's Day on November 14 at Thüvopisu village in Phek district under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign.
The programme began with an opening remark by Vilenuo Kapu, Women Welfare Officer, DLCW-MSK, Phek.
She stated that children are the future and stressed on the importance of education- focusing on girl child education and highlighted BBBP and MSK schemes and programmes.
Surhoveyi Khesoh, President, Phek Town Chakhesang Students Union also encouraged the children while importance of recreational activities was shared by Veposelu Naroh, District Coordinator DLCW-MSK, Phek.
She mentioned how various studies have shown the importance of recreational activities and how it creates balance between academic pressure, physical and mental well-being.
The celebration was marked by games and concluded with prize distribution and distribution of BBBP logo shirt.
