The Chozuba Range Wresting Association (CRWA) is all set to conduct 30th Wrestling Meet 2024 on January 23 at Chozuba town in Phek district.
Nagaland’s CAWD & taxes advisor Kiidecho Khamo will be the special guest while Chitsoru Vasa, Deputy Director, Rural Development, Govt of Nagaland will be the guest of honour.
The champion will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh sponsored by Er. Vekiirhii Venyo, EE PWD, Phek, second prize at Rs. 80,000 by Nezosa Tetseo, president Phek District Sports Association, third prize-Rs, 60,000 by Rhiitsiiyi Rhakho, entrepreneur and third prize- Rs. 40,000 by Besiikroyi Nyekha, entrepreneur.
Kuto Khiisoh, educator and Er. Zaciikho Thingo, JE PHED Pfutsero will jointly sponsor prize money for junior wrestling category.
Rs. 5000 will be awarded to the best tactic wrestler.
Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) champion 2016 Vecita Khiisoh and Er. Ketuovizo Tseikha, treasurer Kewhimia Gazetted Officers Krotho will sponsor wrestlers track suit and officials suit respectively.
Certificates & programme and award for best tactic wrestler will be sponsored by Pukhoi Rhakho and Sesai Gym respectively.
In regard to referee board & judges for the meet, Pozoto Shijoh will be the chief referee. It will be assisted by Lhiivenii Phesao, Khwiithayi Khiisoh, Vecita Khiisoh, Yozoto Dozo, Nelhiisa Swiiro, Besiito Rhakho and Miikhayi Nyekha.
Dr. Er. Vekho Swiiro, president, BJP Phek will be the chief patron. Other patrons includes; Dr. Veswiilhii Ringa, Joint Director, Veterinary & AH, Dr. Vekhoto Shijo, Senior Geologist, GSI, Velhiisa Phesao, SDAO Phek, M. Singson, O.C. Chozuba, Er. Daniel Shijoh, E.E. PWD Noklak, Chisayi Vadeo, (IFS)DFO, Kohima Division, Dupoto Khiisoh, Entrepreneur ,Vengotso Khamo, PGT, GHSS Chozuba Town, Kamo Shijoh, Forester I wildlife Division, Dimapur and Vengozo Dozo.
CRWA Reigning champion Niizosa Nyekha will be torch bearer of the meet.
Presently, CRWA is headed by president Dr. Chekhwiiveyi Khiisoh.
The Meet will be hosted by Chozuba Town Baptist Church.
The CRWA has convened a business hour on January 20 at Chozuba at 10.00 AM.
Meanwhile, CRWA will be hosting the forthcoming 29th Chakhesang wrestling meet 2024 of Chakhesang Wrestling Association at Chozuba town on February 9 with Chozuba Town Baptist Church as ground management.
