Citizen’s Welfare Society celebrates second anniversary with thanksgiving

Citizen’s Welfare Society (CWS) today had a thanksgiving programme on its second anniversary at its treasurer’s residence in Kiphire. It was attended by officers, civil societies, NGOs, well-wishers and senior citizens.  

Dr Apise, Secretary, United Sangtam Baptist Lithro Ashimukhomg (USBLA) at the programme said, God uses young people to do great things as the younger generation has many innovative ideas and capacity to do good. He asked the CWS members to stand for the welfare of the citizens and be honest, truthful, and maintain integrity to be a voice of the citizens. Dr Apise also blessed and prayed for the members.  

United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP) vice president K. Tsilise, who also spoke on the occasion, advised the members to be vigilant and to minutely delegate the work “as the wrong done by learned person is difficult to be corrected.” He further asked the members to have good coordination with the civil societies and elders in the town and assured them of cooperation and support.  

Setsathong, Project Director, DRDA, Sepithong, Head GB, Kiphire Town, and Judicial Magistrate also spoke on the occasion.
