The news item purportedly stated by S.S.Alhuwallia, BJP in charge of Assam suspecting the involvement of the NSCN in the neighboring Karbi Anglong is an expression of his personal view. The BJP State Unit of Nagaland also wants to make it clear that, the BJP does not have anything to do with conversions.
Alleging the involvement of any organizations in such matter is beyond the principle and ideology of the party as BJP is committed to Positive Secularism.
The BJP Nagaland Unit does not support the said statement as it expresses the lack of adequate knowledge of the ground reality by the party leader concerned.
The party State Unit appreciates the Assam BJP Unit for its efforts to resolve the ongoing unfortunate violence taking place in Karbi Anglong.
The Party appeal to the authorities and organizations concerned to come forward and help and extend help so as to contain the present turmoil and to let peace and tranquility prevail in Karbi Anglong.
