Clarify, ‘General’ Kholi to Indian Army Chief

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 11 (MExN): In an open letter to General JJ Singh, India’s Chief of Army Staff, “General” Kholi Konyak, the “Commander-in-Chief” of the NSCN (K) army today demanded, “If the Indian Army or GOI or for that matter RAW are supplying arms and ammunitions to NSCN/GPRN please publish details with unmistakable proof for the information of the people at large. If not, make Th Muivah understand what he says or does.”

Asserting that “I am the commander in chief of the People’s Army of Nagaland (PAN) for more than a decade now,” Kholi said he is completely ignorant of any Naga army’s relation with the Indian Army or Indian Defence Ministry, excepting for the bilateral ceasefire between the Government of India and his organization.

“But Th Muivah, a leader of I-K group has been and is always alleging that the NSCN / GPRN is getting arms and ammunitions supply from Indian Army. He goes on making such false propaganda against the NSCN wherever he goes and whenever he meets or in any meeting he attends, and thus maligning the image of my organisation with such devilish assertions.”

“The functionaries of our Govt. have time and again refuted the charges in unambiguous languages. But we wonder why the Government of India and the Indian Army remain tight lipped on such baseless propaganda, nor tell Th Muivah in their meetings not to utter such childish words. Would it not be a manifestation of hypocrisy on the part of Indian Army authorities and the GOI?”
