Clear teachers imbroglio at earliest: ATAN to Govt

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The ATAN General Meeting held on 30th of July, 2010, has once again resolved “to remain an obedient and loyal servant in line with our profession as a teacher”. A press note issued by ATAN Executives however cautioned any Association or Political parties not to underestimate the unity and strength of ATAN. “It is only through our unity and strength that gives us the confidence to follow all the government guidelines up to date, and not because we are at fault. We appreciate the government’s exercise of weeding out the tares but reminded not to weed out the grains”, stated the press note from ATAN. According to the press note the “hardest part to bear during the government’s verification process is to manage the families without salaries”. As such the Association requested the government to clear the imbroglio at the earliest time possible since there is “always a limit for toleration”.

Further all the members inclusive of all the district units are informed to submit their contribution of Rs.300 per member at ISBT, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on 9th and 10th of August 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  “It is made compulsory to submit individually as there are documents that has to be signed personally”, stated the press note.
