CM responds to queries from Cong

Kohima, March 17 (DIPR): The Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio on March 17 while responding to a starred question to the leader of the opposition MLA Tokheho, informed the House at the ongoing Assembly that a total of 8 (eight) Administrative posts/centres have been created from 2008 to 2012 February. The 8 administrative centres are Botsa EAC, Akuhaito EAC, Mangko EAC, Sotokur EAC, Sangsangnyu EAC, Hoshepu EAC, Yachem EAC and Lephory EAC. Rio also informed the House that 86 Administrative Centres has been provided with new infrastructures since 2003-2012 February. 

Replying to supplementary queries raised by MLA K.L. Chishi, the Chief Minister replied that blanket ban has been relaxed with regard to post creation so as to fulfil the aspirations of the people. “Therefore posts are created where it is urgently required”, Rio clarified.

On the query of MLA, K.L. Chishi as to how to fill up the administrative HQs, Rio replied that EAC posts are created along with its 11 supporting posts, which he said in a uniform standard pattern in all the Hqs. 

He also informed that 1 batch comprising of 12 NCS officers are under training and another batch of the same size are on the process of recruitment through NPSC.

Rio admitted to the shortage of administrative officers but said that recruitment cannot be given in 1 year explaining that opportunities should also be given to the fresh candidates. He however said that he has proposed to the cabinet and also told the senior bureaucrats on how NCS feeders IAS services and that discussion are still on.
