Kohima, October 8 (MExN): With an aim to reach out to about 1700 families including about 900 senior citizens, Dr Vizolie Suokhrie, Principal Director, Department of Health & Family Welfare inaugurated a community driven outreach programme at L Khel, Kohima village.
Speaking at the launching event, Dr Vizolie exhorted the community saying it is now up to the individual level to the three cardinal rules- 3 strategies of wear masks, maintain social distancing and hand hygiene to fight COVID-19.
Setuo Kelio, Chairman Lhisemia Council, Kohima village also spoke during the programme. Rev Keduokienyü Dzüvichü, Pastor of Baptist Revival Church invoked blessings. Dr Menuosietuo Tseikha, President of Lhisemia Gazetted Officers Association chaired the function.
On the occasion, pamphlets, masks, hand sanitizers and vitamin-mineral tablets were distributed for all communities in the community.
