Condolence messages for Thrunyicho Sangtam

Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): NSCN (IM), Chairman, Q Tuccu has mourned the demise of Thrunyicho Sangtam, Steering Committee Member under United Sangtam Region (USR) on June 6. 

A condolence message from the Chairman said that it is a profound loss not only for his family and Sangtam community but also for NSCN in general. “As we mourn his passing away, we are reminded of his determined contribution over many decades to the struggle for freedom. He served the nation whole heartedly without any reservation. He was a man with great principle who resolute in his commitment to the people of Nagas and for the cause of freedom of Nagalim. The NSCN has lost a beloved son and an outstanding patriot.”

He also expressed hope that his family will be able to draw some comfort from the many heartfelt tributes that have been paid to departed soul by those who loved, respected and admired him. “The NSCN salute this great man and express condolence to the bereaved family who gave his best service for the Naga Nation,” it said.  

NSCN (IM), Steering Committee, Chairman, Ashiho Asoumai said that Thrunyicho Sangtam was a dedicated man who loved the Naga nation and displayed his patriotic spirit till his last breath. He gave his service for the Naga nation from 2008 and served till the last moment of his life. The void created by his demise will be difficult to fill in, he stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members and his close friends. “It is our prayers that God will take care of them and comfort them at this hour of grief,” he added. 

NSCN (IM) United Sangtam Region (USR) remembered Thrunyicho Sangtam ‘as a true patriot’ and ‘a man of his word.’ In his demise, USR said that it has lost a capable and God fearing leader which the void left by his demise will be not possible to be filled. USR condolence to the bereaved family members, and prayed that God will grant eternal rest to the departed soul. 

Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) said Thrunyicho Sangtam was a man who stood firm with the commitment to sacrifice his life for the Naga people. During his service to the Naga nation, he wholeheartedly trusted the leadership of the NSCN till his last breath. Indeed, the void thus created by his untimely departure would be hard to fill; the Union stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members.
