CVC: The Chümoukedima Village Council expressed sadness to learn of the demise of Er Hewoto Chishi who passed away on May 27 after a brief illness. Er Hewoto Chishi was a well known figure of Chümoukedima; he commanded much respect and admiration of the people not only as an officer but also as a true gentleman and a humble soul who have contributed immensely to society. In his demise, the people of Chümoukedima have lost an invaluable member and the void left in his stead will be impossible to be replaced, the CVC stated in its condolence message. The CVC and all its denizens conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
NFHRCC: The NFHRCC fraternity mourned the demise of Er Hewoto Chishi of PWD(R&B) Dimapur Division. He has contributed a lot towards the historic Naga People's project of the Foothills road since the beginning of the project in 2013. His best efforts and dedicated contributions especially towards the Doyang Bridge Constructions at the Governor's camp, Liphanyan shall go a long way in history, the NFHRCC stated on Friday. Terming his demise a great loss, the NFHRCC further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
TUD: The Tangkhul Union Dimapur (TUD) on Friday mourned the loss of AP Shimray, who passed away on May 27 following a heart attack. He was 86. Shimray, fondly known as ‘Awomeng’, was an employee of the erstwhile Sugar Mill and one of the oldest settlers among the Tangkhuls in Dimapur, the TUD stated. “He had served as union president and advisor with extraordinary guts and will-power for a long period. Outspoken, yet profoundly deep and humane, his demise is indeed a great loss and a huge setback for the Tangkhuls living in Dimapur,” the Union said. Sharing its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the TUD also prayed for late Shimray to rest in peace.
