Condolences pour in for late NCD Prez

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 11 (MExN): Several organizations today mourned the passing away of Ghokheto Chophy, President of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) at Delhi on December 11.

NGBF
The Nagaland Gaon Buras Federation (NGBF) said “it was painful to learn that he has left so early leaving behind all his incomplete missions.” “He has served in different civil organisations such as Sub-Committee Convenor in Dimapur. His contributions as a Convenor of JCPI, movement against multiple taxations are some of his remarkable achievement,” a press release from the NGBF stated. “In his demise, we have lost a committed leader, especially for Dimapur people, a vacuum created by his demise shall be difficult to fill,” it added. The NGBF further expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

RIFN 
The Rongmei Indigenous Forum Nagaland (RIFN) also expressed grief and stated that late Ghokheto Chophy was a “straight forward person who has been engaged full time for the welfare of Dimapur people.” “He has worked tirelessly for the people of Dimapur in many pertaining issues. His contributions have been engraved in the history of developing district of Dimapur. With his demise, we have lost a visionary leader,” a press release from the forum stated. It further expressed condolences to the bereaved family. 

DDCF
The Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum while expressing pain said that late Chophy’s “contributions and services for a good cause, especially for the denizens of Dimapur in particular and the whole society in general will be greatly missed.” “He has indeed fought a good fight,” a press release from the DDCF stated and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
