Conscience or Truth?

Our society is passing through a time of political impasse, social clouding, spiritual silence and tight-lipped, and self-ignited conscience. We are routinely busy with abusive languages, debunking and defamatory statements in our daily medias and communication without a healing vocabulary. No matter how much volume one blows, the will of God will prevail at the end of the day (Pro 19:21). The greatest regret in social life is character assassination because it is against what God wants us to be (Ex 20:16; Rom 12:16). The greatest gain in life is healing and loving communication as Christians. Biblical values are fossilized today by political rivalry and lob, and motives. Our civil society seems to be modernizing but without a true conscience of civic sense. Churches are busy with vertical activities and virtual routine but not knowing what is out there in the streets. In a society of perversion, vulgar and evil forces intrude and invade the hearts of our youth, schools and institutions, and children. Our youth become duress preys to permeation of influences detrimental to our social health. Preoccupation of facebook, internets, websites and digital revolution lull and incapacitate the ability and talents of our youth. Truth is diverted by captivated conscience.

Where are the prophets gone today?
Prophets are the few used by God to redirect people and society from wrong direction to right destiny. They were up to stand against corruption and intentional mistake in the midst of opposition. The Old Testament prophets were not necessarily trained priests, ordained or full time religious leaders. They were ordinary lay people of credibility, integrity and trustworthiness. In the time of need such as today, may God raise business prophets to correct business circles, political prophets to reform political systems and correct management of public affairs, bureaucratic prophets to restore administrative integrity, patriotic prophets to reshape and redesign true spirit of nationalism, student prophets to deliver young blood from forces of looming and overshadowing darkness and misguiding influences, teacher prophets to cultivate quality of education, and, of course, spiritual prophets to renew and redirect churches to return to biblical centrality and a sense of whole body of Jesus Christ. Truth must transcend our applied conscience.
 

Conscience of Truth
Truth precedes conscience. Right conscience is the outcome of truth. Conscience without principle of Truth will evaporate and dissipate aimlessly. Truth is the orbit of a society or a government to rotate and regulate a destined journey. Truth and liar cannot go together. Truth rises above fragmented interests. God- given conscience can be consciously or unconsciously, selfishly or selflessly designed to guide your decision. The Bible terms it as narrow way or broad way. A conscience without God leads people to suicide, thievery, burglary, corruption, and mismanagement of humanity.

The need of society today is a conscience of truth. The Bible tells us that people who are born of God will not commit sin (1John 3:9). You cannot keep aside the truth in order to be a politician or another profession. For Christians, your conscience is guided by the principle of truth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Think of the same content of different colors of cups. Truth must be the content of our consciences, be political, business, church and society. The truth alone will set us free from sickness of guilty conscience.

Generation Conscience
Belief comes from truth. It is the Belief with our total being, trust and faith in the truth. For Christians, Jesus is the truth in whom we put our total faith. The Bible reminds us of the need of righteousness to lead and rule the course of people in right way (Pro 14: 34; 29:18). God called the Church to lead people to eternal life but it is preceded with total transformation as salt and light of the world. The Church is expected to be an organism of right conscience to social environment. It is the Church to blow the trumpet (Ezek 33:6) to warn and awake people by shading a sense of right and wrong.

Rapid physical and material progress and developments will come to naught without total development of a person: body (dust), soul (living consciousness), and spirit (destined to either life or death). In this, the high point of a person is decision making age which is naturally high school and college ages. Delivering and saving this age from clutches of destructive forces, human pollution, and slavery to evils is crucially important which is Generation Saving. What do you think to save our generation? Let us not fabricate and manipulate truth in shaping our generation. Let us set an immovable legacy to the upcoming ages. Truth alone will set our generation free. What must we do to deliver and empower our youth in Dimapur in particular, Kohima, and district capitals in general?

Right conscience should have preceded what is called Protected Area Permit (PAP) even before its revocation by the MHA. Right conscience should also regulate the suspension of PAP. Satan targets our youth and triggers its fire upon them. What can we say about what is coming into our land through Dimapur to make our state a melting pot? We must take care of our youth by rescuing them from subtle and subversive schemes because what high political talk you are delivering, magnificent church buildings you are building, organized sermons being delivered in pulpits, and high magnitude of designs and plans you are contemplating are all at the mercy of the coming generation. How can we transform them from proliferating evils? The need of the hour is rediscovery of right conscience of truth.

 

The consequence of a man of truth is different from that of a mere conscience. Let us return to a conscience of truth in the midst of busy rally of life goal.
