The Rhododendron Park at Jakhama Rhododendron Park is witnessing a remarkable and inspiring transformation as rhododendron saplings retrieved and conserved in 2017 have now blossomed into full bloom in 2026.
This achievement marks nearly a decade of dedicated conservation efforts, patience and community commitment toward preserving the region’s rich natural heritage. The vibrant blooms now adorning the park stand as a living testimony to the success of sustained ecological stewardship and environmental care.
The saplings, which were carefully collected and nurtured under challenging conditions, have matured into thriving plants, displaying a stunning array of colours that enhance the beauty of the park.
Their blooming not only enriches the landscape but also reinforces the importance of long-term conservation initiatives in safeguarding native plant species.
