Mokokchung, March 6 (MExN): A police Havildar attached to the DEF Mokokchung has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping an eighteen year old girl in Mokokchung. SP Mokokchung in a press release informed that the uncle of the kidnapped girl, Havildar Pekruzenyu, who is also attached to the DEF Mokokchung, lodged a complaint on March 5, stating that his niece, aged eighteen, “was kidnapped by havildar Takukaba (DEF Mokokchung) of Yajang ‘C’ Village.” In this connection a search operation was conducted by Mokokchung Police Station-I personnel on the same day and the kidnapped girl along with the accused were located at Hotel Longkumer Semtu, Dilong Ward Mokokchung on the morning of March 6. “The accused has been arrested and a criminal case has been registered and investigation has been initiated to ascertain the facts of the case,” the Mokokchung SP stated.
