Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU) during the ‘on-the-spot verification’ of the Mini Cement Plant at Wazeho, Phek district from October 28 to 30.
Kohima, October 31 (MExN): The Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU) under the Chairmanship of Mhathung Yanthan, MLA & Advisor, Horticulture and Border Affairs conducted an ‘on-the-spot verification’ of the Mini Cement Plant at Wazeho, Phek district from October 28 to 30.
“The Committee inspected the Mini Cement Plant which has remained inoperative for the last 12 years causing loss to the State Government,” stated a press release issued by NLA, Commissioner & Secretary Dr PJ Anthony.
During the visit, the Committee inspected the functioning of the Decorative & Dimensional Stone Plant (DDSP), Wazeho and also the Mali Farm at Pfutsero, under the Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland.
The other members of the Committee who undertook the tour were R Khing, MLA & Advisor, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resources and Dr Chotisuh Sazo, MLA. Also Dr PJ Antony and other Officers from NLA and the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NSMDC) accompanied the Committee.
“The Committee will report its findings to the Assembly during its next sitting,” the release stated.
