Kohima, June 16 (MExN): A new case of COVID-19 was reported in Dimapur on June 16, the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare informed. The patient, who is mildly symptomatic, has been placed under home isolation and is currently being monitored, according to a press statement issued by the department.
“The currently circulating variants of COVID-19 are mild, causing illness with fever, cough, sore throat, which usually subsides on its own,” the statement said. The Health Department urged the public not to panic and to continue adhering to COVID-19 appropriate behaviours.
