COVID-19: Nagaland reports highest single-day recovery

Dimapur, June 9 (MExN): Nagaland reported a new single-day high in COVID-19 recoveries with 965 recovering from the infection on Wednesday.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the state’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), 858 of the recoveries were reported from Kohima, 74 from Dimapur, 11 each from Mon and Phek, 6 from Zunheboto, 3 from Peren, and 1 each from Wokha and Tuensang. 

A total of 186 fresh cases were also reported in the last 24 hours out of which 92 were from Mokokchung,  Kohima (34 ), Dimapur (28), Zunheboto (11), Mon (6), Phek (5), Wokha (3), Longleng (3),  Tuensang (2), Peren (1), and Kiphire (1).

Meanwhile, the State also recorded 3 deaths on June 9, which took the death tally to 421. The deaths were reported from Kohima, Mokokchung and Phek districts.

With this, the cumulative tally of infections in the state rose to 23,237, out of which 3,893 are active cases and 18,261 are recovered cases. Altogether, 648 patients have migrated from the state.
