Kohima, November 18 (MExN): The COVID-19 pandemic has instil confidence in India’s power and progress, stated Prof. Arun Kumar Sangwan, the Dean of the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CVScAH), Jalukie on November 16.
The by product of this calamity is that the country feels more confident, he said, addressing the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on the theme ‘India’s Journey of 100 crore Vaccination’ at CVScAH, Jalukie organised by Field Outreach Bureau, PIB Kohima.
Terming the success of 100 crore plus vaccination as a landmark achievement, Prof Sangwan said the programme is unique programme not only for the country but for the entire world, a press release from PIB Kohima.
This vaccination programme has given us many opportunities to realise our potential and also to become self reliant, he added.
Prof Sangwan also maintained that the pandemic has given much confidence to entrepreneurs, particularly in the field pharmabiologicals and vaccination and shown that they “can rise up to the occasion and handle problem of any dimension.”
Demystifying some of the myths related to COVID-19, Resource person, Dr Michael Tetseo MO of CHC Jalukie said the benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risk.
He also highlighted the COVID-19 scenario of Nagaland and the technical aspects of the approved vaccines available India
A quiz competition was also organised during the programme, added the release.
