Zunheboto, March 1 (MExN): A programme to create awareness on COVID-19 vaccination was conducted at Zunheboto Town Baptist Church- Aizuto, on February 28.
During the programme, Zunheboto Chief Medical Officer Dr K Akaho urged the congregation to come forward and get vaccinated. According to a press release from the NHM District Media Officer, the CMO also elaborated on the Coronavirus, its symptoms, modes of transmission, and prevention. He also gave a detailed explanation on the Covishield vaccine and advised the congregation not to believe in the misconceptions about the vaccine that are rampant on social media.
Dr Akaho further encouraged the congregation to get vaccinated in order to stay safe and protect their families and neighbours. He also brief them about the second phase of vaccination which will cover all citizens above 60 years of age and people between 45-59 years of age with comorbidities or diseases, subject to certification by a registered medical practitioner.
